Government Graduate College for Women, Muzaffargarh added another accolade to its growing sports tradition this month, with the College team clinching the Runner-Up position at the prestigious Khelta Punjab U-22 Games 2026.
The award ceremony, held at the District Sports Complex, was attended by senior officials of the Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department. Our captain accepted a cheque of Rs. 10,000 on behalf of the team, presented by the District Sports Officer Muzaffargarh.
Mrs. Khursheed Bibi, Principal, addressing the team afterwards, said: "This is what happens when discipline meets opportunity. Our girls trained in their own playground, against tough competition, and proved that GGC(W) Muzaffargarh stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the province."
The team had earlier dominated the inter-departmental tournament held on campus, where the same squad lifted the in-house trophy in a closely fought final.
What's Next
The Sports Department has confirmed that the College has been invited to next year's regional finals. Trials for the new squad will open right after the summer recess — students from all programmes are encouraged to participate.
