Our Story

A Legacy of Educating Women

Founded in 1973 on a 62-kanal campus along Alipur Road near the District Headquarters Hospital, Government Graduate College for Women Muzaffargarh has grown from a small district college into one of the most respected institutions for women's higher education in South Punjab.

Affiliated with Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan for its BS programmes, the college today offers 11 BS / Associate Degree programmes alongside 4 Intermediate streams (FA, F.Sc Pre-Medical, F.Sc Pre-Engineering, ICS) — each shaped by Higher Education Department Punjab regulations and the demands of a changing world.

What began as a regional initiative has evolved into a community: 44+ teaching staff, 19 academic departments, and thousands of alumni who now serve as doctors, teachers, civil servants, entrepreneurs, and changemakers across Pakistan.

Our Vision

To be a centre of excellence in women's higher education — producing graduates equipped with knowledge, ethical grounding, and the confidence to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan's development.

Our Mission

Provide affordable, high-quality higher education aligned with HED Punjab standards, foster moral and intellectual growth, and empower young women through academics, sports, leadership, and community service.

Our Values

Integrity, academic rigour, respect for tradition, openness to modern knowledge, and a deep commitment to the social and intellectual elevation of women in our region.
